At-Attention Grilled Chicken Recipe

After decades of creating this formula, I have yet to discover a better cooked poultry. The food preparation strategy creates it so luscious and soft, you will not want to fix a whole poultry any other way.—Shirley Hodge, Bingor, Pennsylvania
At-Attention Grilled Chicken Recipe

3 tbsps chopped fresh thyme or 1 tbsp dry thyme
    1 tbsp grated lemon peel
    1 tbsp floor cumin
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. floor allspice
    1 tsp. soup powder
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. floor nutmeg
    1 broiler/fryer poultry (3 to 4 pounds)
    1 tbsp olive oil
1 can (12 ounces) alcohol or nonalcoholic beer

Combine the first eight substances. Carefully release epidermis from poultry breasts; rub olive oil and 2 tbsps liven combination under the epidermis. Rub remaining liven combination over epidermis. Position poultry in a large resealable plastic bag; closure bag. Chill for at least 1 hour or instantaneously.
Prepare bbq grill for oblique warm, using a drop pan. Add out a third of the alcohol. Carefully stick additional gaps in top of the can with a can operator. Holding the poultry with legs indicated down, lower poultry over the can so it fills up the body tooth cavity.
Position poultry over drop pan; bbq grill, covered, over oblique medium warm for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours or until a meat temperature gauge flows 180°. Eliminate poultry from grill; cover and let stand for 10 minutes. Eliminate poultry from can. Yield: 6 meals.
