Chocolate Strawberry Shortcakes Recipe

This comfortable, frothy bananas shortcake comes from Agnes Keep of Stratford, New york, who tailored it from her sister's formula. The drop of chocolate marinade on top is a welcome boost to this sweet, wonderful dessert
Chocolate Strawberry Shortcakes Recipe

    1/4 cup sugar
    1 tbsp cornstarch
    Sprint salt
    2 tbsps water
    1/2 cup mashed strawberries
    1 drop red meals shading, optional
    2 individual round sponge or cloth cakes
    2/3 cup chopped fresh strawberries
    1/3 cup pulled topping
    1 tbsp candy syrup, optional


    In a small pot, combine the glucose, corn starch and salt. Mix in the water and mashed berries. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Add meals shading if preferred.
    Place sponge or cloth desserts on a providing plate. Top with bananas marinade, chopped berries, pulled leading and candy syrup if preferred. Yield: 2 meals.
